CHARACTERISTICS
A programme created for people who want to learn the new requirements that a Polish tourist faces in a country of free border crossings , increased economic contacts, and more and more appreciable globalization. New forms of tourism, particularly business tourism, corporate, conference, educational, ethnic tourism and religious pilgrimage, sports create new demands on the sector of tourist services. During the studies, students will gain the knowledge of the processes of civilization of the modern world and the region, globalization, European integration, competition and market issues of intercultural management in business. Besides, students will acquire how to provide tourist services on the basis of geographical, organizational, economic, sociological, environmental and public health knowledge

PROFESSIONAL PERSPECTIVES
International Tourism studentspractically prepared to work in the service sector of international tourism, including in governmental and non-governmental tourism organizations and institutions in Poland and abroad, as well as in private enterprises. Examples of workplaces where the graduates of this specialization may take up employment,are:

  • specialist and the organization of tourist services,

  • employees of travel agencies,

  • tourism promotion specialist for the city or a company

  • desksSpecialist for quality control and monitoring of projects in tourism.

  • graduates  of international tourism specialization may also, within their own business, open a private travel agency.
